As is the case with almost every period piece, Godunov has little to do with history; yet they've got one thing right: the fall of the Godunov dynasty was an unfortunate event in many aspects. With just a little more luck, the Godunovs' story might have changed drastically. And considering Fyodor's education, the fact that his reign didn't even last a couple of months provokes a sense of broken hope.
