This is one of my favorite songs from any video game, ever. Nobuo Uematsu captured the free-spirit of Terra chained to the empire in this leitmotif. I wanted to cover it last year, but my concept at the time involved more of the military march aspect of Terra's experience and I couldn't get the drums to sound right. This time I abandoned the rigid march and went with a travis style guitar part and melodies and harmonies passed around between violin, guitar, and erhu.
