What advantages did I find to using a larger than 35mm format digital sensor with 50MP, to digitise film? Besides the obvious jump in resolution from my usual 30MP setup, there were a few considerations to make me wonder how worthwhile it would be. I compare a few test frames to some Notritsu lab scans, a Flextight scan, and my usual Canon 5D IV results.
Thank you to Fujifilm Australia for providing the GFX loan kit I used for this test, and an upcoming video where I take the camera for a spin and compare it to some Pentax 645N film exposures!
