The London Korean Film Festival 2019 (LKFF2019) will run from 1- 14 November in London before taking highlights around the country with the annual UK Tour.
The festival celebrates A Century of Korean Cinema with a special selection of UK and European premiere film screenings of culturally-important retrospective titles, many newly restored: from a 1940s masterpiece produced in formerly united Korea, to the second film in Korean cinema history directed by a woman, and beloved 1990s indie gems. Alongside this will be an exciting mix of UK and International premieres, guests and events across a diverse set of strands; Cinema Now, Women's Voices, Documentary, Artists Video, Animation and Shorts.
Join us at the Opening Gala where we'll be kicking off the festival with the seminal A SEASHORE VILLAGE. Director Kim Soo-yong will be in attendance to discuss his work and answer questions from the audience on this very special night of cinema.
