Nuria Mohedano is a Sustainable Tourism MSc graduate from Syddansk Universitet, Denmark. Currently working as a Tourism Technician at the province county of Ciudad Real, she specializes in rural destinations and nature-based projects, focusing on integrating heritage interpretation and innovative, participatory strategies for sustainable tourism. In her presentation, she delves into the art of destination communication through brand creation. Using a case study, she showcases the essential steps involved in co-creating a brand design, demonstrating how sustainable tourism theory can be effectively translated into practice. The result is a holistic brand nurtured and collectively crafted, offering valuable insights for others aiming to enrich their participatory approaches to destination management and brand development.
