Ha Ha Tonka State Park is one of Missouri's most interesting and scenic areas. Overlooking lake of the Ozarks at Camdenton Mo it is home to the stone ruins of a castle, the 12th largest natural spring in the state, sinkholes, a natural bridge and karst topography. The castle was the inspiration of Kansas City business man Robert M. Snyder. In 1942 chimney sparks set the roof on fire and the castle and the carriage houses completely burned. In 1976 the water tower burned. Today visitors can walk a boardwalk from the castle to the spring. Ha Ha Tonka Missouri State park and Historic site operated by the Missouri department of natural resources Division of state parks.
