Orana Wildlife Park is the Zoo for Christchurch city in New Zealand. Orana Wildlife Park has 3 Gorillas and this is the only place in New Zealand that has gorillas. The weather was cloudy during the morning but cleared up to be beautiful and sunny at lunch time.
Orana Wildlife standard admission is a bit more expensive than Wellington and Auckland Zoos, but is worth it. They also have a Lion Encounter (costs about NZ$50 per person) which is well worth it!
Visited Christchurch for the first time January 18-21, 2020. I'm from Wellington. IT'S TRUE.... South Island people are nicer than in the North Island. When I compared Wellington and Auckland, both have people who toot at you just cause they don't like you or for no good or fair reason. Compare that with Christchurch.... hardly heard any tooting in Christchurch.
Christchurch is the 3rd biggest city in New Zealand. Behind Wellington (the capital with over 400,000 population) and Auckland (biggest city in NZ). Christchurch though is the biggest city in the South Island. It's surprisingly spread out like Auckland, but not as much as Auckland. Traffic is quieter than Wellington.
I posted my Lion Encounter earlier as this was a priority for me. Link: [ Ссылка ]
Visited Orana Wildlife Park during the summer holidays, since in New Zealand and Australia, our summer period is from December to February.
Enjoy the video! :)
