Scotland is now entering into a period which shows a glimmer of optimism as we adapt to living with COVID-19 and begin to consider recovery and how to build back better.
We can see the devastation COVID-19 has left behind - so many lives have been lost, and those living on the margins of society are further marginalised as experiences of poverty, poor health, gender-based violence and other inequalities have been exacerbated. People living with long term conditions in particular have experienced a disproportionate impact during the COVID-19 pandemic, especially on their mental health and emotional wellbeing.
It is the time to build a ‘wellbeing society’, strengthen our social safety nets, nurture environments that allow people to flourish and invest in preventative support that will protect and support this generation as well as the next.
The ALLIANCE and the Mental Health Foundation Scotland therefore invite you to join us as we launch “Living Well: Emotional Support Matters”, our new partnership programme working to support the mental health and emotional wellbeing of people with living with long term conditions.
