This is a tutorial for people who are new to Starcraft 2 and provides an easy way to improve your game.
In this tutorial we cover the basics of macro, specifically never stopping worker production. Many new players find it hard to constantly build workers, so here I present to you a way to practice this. Starcraft has a lot of depth, and as such requires alot of different skills. It is almost impossible to practice all of these skills at once, so focusing on them one at a time is a smart and easy way to improve your play.
To improve your macro:
1. Start a game against either a friend or an AI opponent. Your intent is to never stop producing workers. Hotkey your worker producing structure (command center for terran, nexus for protoss, hatchery for zerg) and constantly check workers are being made.
2. Do not worry about scouting, unit composition, cheese or anything else. The whole idea of this is to practice one thing. If you lose the game but you don't miss workers, you have still done well and practiced correctly.
3. Lather, rinse and repeat. After a few games, you will find yourself instinctively checking that you are producing workers, and you will not have to think about it, that is the ultimate goal of this practice.
I hope this is useful to some people, as it helped me hugely when I started out. Good luck and have fun :). Feel free to make requests for videos on other Starcraft 2 topics. If you have any questions about this technique please don't hesitate to ask.
