What do Momento and Finding Nemo have in common? They're the only acceptable representation of amnesia that I could find in Hollywood! Today I'll be talking about a special kind of amnesia: Hollywood Amnesia. It's a version that doesn't really exist but script writers seem to like writing. I also talk about the real life case of H.M., a man who had anterograde amnesia. As usual when I make a video about movies, I totally understand that the goals of these movies were not to portray accurate neuroscience, but it's fun to look at and a good educational tool! Come back next Wednesday for another neuroscience video!
