the German airline Lufthansa, has 27 out of the 120 active Boeing 747 passenger planes currently in service, making up nearly 25% of the total. They've announced that they don't plan to retire these planes anytime soon. While it's their decision, many are surprised and wonder why Lufthansa is holding onto these planes.
