SUPERMAN joined DC comics on March 1, 1938. That first comic book was sold for $3.2 million in 2014. Superman was created in Cleveland. Tom was created in Cleveland, about the length of a football field north of the house where Superman was born. Tom was born on March 1, 1949. Could these two be related? The neighborhood where Superman and Tom were born was the home of Jesse Owens, Margaret Hamilton who was The Wicked Witch of The West, and also Corey Alan. Corey had a knife fight with James Dean in "Rebel Without A Cause." Superman was portrayed by George Reeves on television. He was the only Superman that "baby boomers" ever knew. Tom traces the life of Superman and George Reeves. Superman continues to fly, while George Reeves came to a tragic end in 1959.
