Research Features is a great gateway to really help us communicate our science to the public, and we really want people to understand what we do and we want them to take an interest in what we do. In general, outreach is immensely important and this sounds like a really great vehicle to really communicate this science on multiple levels. In terms of creating or exciting the next generation of scientists, we feel very strongly about getting our message across and our science across to young people to help inspire them to want to become scientists. We also want to take the mystery out of science so that people can feel really confident, and know that they’re investing in cutting edge science in the UK that’s going to have real implications. We want them to understand what’s coming down the road in terms of new advances in medical technologies for example, and have people embrace those new advances.
