Hi I'm valkorum and welcome back to the channel.
It only seems like a little while ago I was playing high level basketball in my home city... ok, it was a long time ago now.
So when I got the opportunity to get a copy of Pro Basketball Manager 2022 I jumped at the chance to play this game.
I got a copy of this game a couple weeks, but as you know I like to create videos on tips and tricks for different games but I was really struggling to come up with some meaningful tips for this game. In the end I have managed to come up with 3 tips that I think can help you out with this game.
Alright, lets get started and dont forget to like and subscribe as it really does help me out.
1) Real Names
As this is a game from an independent developer its going to be nearly impossible for them to get a licensing agreement to all the leagues in the world. So out of the box all the names of teams and players are all slightly different. But that doesn't mean that you have to play like that.
The game has been setup to allow mods and a modder by the name of Thomas T has made a mod that contains the real names for players, coaches, teams, leagues and cups.
Here's how you go about adding the mod.
Step 1: Go to the workshop page and select the real names database and then subscribe
Step 2: Wait for the mod to download . At the time of recording this video the mod is 376MB
Step 3: Start up Pro Basketball Manager 2022 and start a new game and make sure you select the real names mod.
2) Simplified trades
This is a really simple configuration change but will have a huge impact on your game, as the help says "If this option is enabled, the North American Championship teams will be less demanding on your trade deals. So far my testing with has allowed me to pretty much complete any trade as long as salaries match
Ok, I have started a new game as the Sacramento Kings and I want to upgrade my SF position as I think I can do way better than Moe Harkless. Lets do a trade with the Boston Celtics and trade Jalen Brown for Moe Harkless. As you can see their salaries are similar. Lets request the trade and fast forward a few days.
We just got a message saying that trade is successful. Using this config change you can pretty much make yourself a nice little super team.
As you can see here, I have created a super team with a starting 5 of De'Aaron Fox, Devin Booker, Klay Thompson, Ben Simmons and Nikola Jokic. All obtained from using this configuration change to make easy trades
3) Edit your own players
One really good feature that has been built by the development team is a separate application called Pro Basketball Manager 2022 DataEditor. In here you can edit every player, staff member, club, competition, cities and even how injuries affect the players. But to be able to do this you have to download the tool from steam. Let me show you how to do that
Firstly - Open steam and go to your library
Then you need to Select tools from your drop down option and make sure that the "show only ready to play games" option is off
Step 3: Find the "Pro Basketball Manager 2002 DataEditor" and install
Once you have downloaded and installed the tool, you can then run it
Ok here we are in the DataEditor application. You have 2 options for editing, you can either edit a mod or you can edit an existing save game. I am going to show you editing a save game.
First select the save game you want to edit.
Once you have loaded in your save game data you now have many options you can edit - players, persons, clubs, club competitions, injuries and cities. I am not going to go through them all but lets have a look at how to edit a player.
I hope that these tips and tricks have been helpful.
Thank you for watching and please remember to like, subscribe or leave a comment as it really does help me out.
