One of the jewels of the Costa del Sol is the typically-Andalusian mountain village of Mijas. Step back in time and wander its narrow, cobbled streets with white-washed houses and stunning floral displays. There are numerous view-points and pleasant resting spots throughout the village – one being the wall Gardens with a truly amazing colorful floral display throughout the year. Tiny shops, overflowing with goods wonderfully displayed line the streets with everything from local ceramics and leatherwork, to designer jewelry or Lladró figurines. There´s also the opportunity to explore the village via horse-drawn carriage. Be amazed by its beauty and charm but remember, the village is “tiered” on the mountain-side and there´s lots of steps – good walking shoes essential!
