Join me in the kitchen as I prepare a quart size and a pint size meal in a jar of chicken tortilla soup for our prepper pantry. I'm an Independent Consultant for Thrive Life and this is what I serve at tastings. Because it's delicious. No one can tell that any of the ingredients are shelf stable freeze dried food. It tastes just like fresh! In this video, I prep the jars and then I show you how to cook the pint sized one. If you're cooking the quart size, just double the water. It's the easiest thing in the world to set up an assembly line process and prep several of these at a time. You just scoop and dump. And it's even easier to cook these up. It's literally just add water and stir. 20 minutes later, you're a hero in the kitchen. If you become my customer, I'll share my recipes with you. This one is included below.
We first started buying this food for preparedness purposes, and I decided to sell it because I think everyone should have shelf stable food just in case of emergencies. Let's be self-sufficient. This food has a 25 year shelf life, unopened. And it's good for an entire year after opening the can. No refrigeration required, ever. Say goodbye to rotten produce from your fridge. This stuff has eliminated food waste in our home. If you buy Thrive Life this year, 2023, it's best by 2048! That's the kind of food I want on my shelf. The kind that will outlive me, lol.
It's also highly nutritious food, because the produce is picked ripe then flash frozen on the farm. Nutrients are locked in and taste is in its prime. I like to say, Thrive Life produce is always in season at my house. It's fresher than fresh because regular grocery store produce has to be picked early in order to be transported to the stores before it rots. Freeze drying the products ensures that this food has the nutrition your family needs to thrive and it will be ready for you whenever you're ready for it.
Freeze dried food is light and airy, kinda crispy, and it's great straight out of the can or rehydrated in your own recipes. You can mix and match these ingredients with fresh ones in your day to day cooking. But if you're wanting to prep shelf-stable foods, you'll want to use all freeze dried ingredients.

Chicken Tortilla Soup Meal in a Jar
In a quart jar, layer the following Thrive Life ingredients:
1/2 cup corn
1/2 cup black beans
1/4 cup red bell peppers
1/4 cup tomato dices
1/4 cup green chile peppers
1/4 cup onion slices(or 2 T chopped onions)
1 cup chicken dices
2 T sour cream powder
2 T instant milk powder
1/4 cup cheese sauce mix
2 T tomato powder
2 tsp chili powder
2 tsp cumin
2 tsp chicken bouillon powder
2 tsp garlic
1/2 tsp oregano
1 tsp cilantro
1/2 tsp salt
1/2 cup cheddar cheese
Insert oxygen absorber and seal; store properly. Should be shelf stable for several years.
To prepare, remove oxygen absorber and place contents of jar in a medium pot. Add 7 cups of water and bring to a boil. Cover and simmer on medium heat for about 20 minutes, stirring occasionally. Check seasonings and adjust as necessary. You can always add more water or cook longer to reduce the amount of broth.
Serve with sour cream, fresh cilantro, avocado, and tortilla strips. Enjoy!
