There has been a lot of talk from educators wanting to focus on social and emotional learning for the 2021-22 school year. Here are 5 SEL resources you need to know about. Some of these resources are free, some are paid, and some are a combination of the two.
Go Zen- [ Ссылка ] Has great videos and programs that are sorted by age group. Students watch a video and have that learning reinforced with a worksheet.
Coping Cat- [ Ссылка ] This website is tailored more for school psychologists. This website has some great workbooks to help students dealing with anxiety. Many students will be anxious about returning to face-to-face services for the 2021-22 school year. The Coping Cat Workbooks are great for helping students one on one or in small group settings.
Cognitive Behavioral Intervention for Trauma in Schools (CBITS)- [ Ссылка ] This website has free and paid-for information. CBITS has some additional resources relating to the pandemic as well as online training.
Second Step- [ Ссылка ] Second Step is divided up by SEL and grade level. This website has about 6-8 lessons per unit. Each unit comes with student goals and lessons to complement each goal.
Mind Yeti- [ Ссылка ] Mind Yeti features videos and audio-only resources for guided mindfulness. Kids seem to respond well to the graphics in the videos. Mind Yeti has resources in Spanish as well.
