ABCD's SummerWorks program offers 14-21 year-olds in Boston the opportunity to have a paid summer job and gain valuable work experience and job readiness skills. Due to the ongoing Covid-19 pandemic, this year's program transitioned to a virtual format, where youth learned technical skills and attended virtual classes at Urban College of Boston, and more. Recently, ABCD's Executive Vice President & COO Sharon Scott-Chandler spoke with SummerWorks participant Karen Mai to learn about her experience in the program this summer.
