Speaker: Jonathan Albright
In light of the Apostle Paul's exhortation in Ephesians 5:15-21 to “Look carefully then how you walk, not as unwise but as wise…to understand the will of the Lord and be filled with the Spirit...submitting to one another out of reverence for Christ.” Paul is helping us see what this submission to one another looks like in a variety of domestic relationships. After addressing how a Christian husband and wife should relate to one another, he turns to address the relationship between parents and children. He gives instruction on what walking in wisdom in the home should look like. The realization that we only have a brief time to raise our children makes Scriptural instruction about raising children pulse with importance. Here in Ephesians 6:1-4 we are going to find critical instruction for children and parents.
