Percussionist and multi-instrumentalist James Larter has always been obsessed with rhythm; whether it be the roaring sound of Brazilian Samba or the intricate and hypnotic drums from the African diaspora, music that makes people move is a passion. He is an in-demand session musician, soloist and composer and has played with a staggering variety of groups and artists from Sampha to the London Philharmonic Orchestra.
300여명 가까이 와서 정원과 전시장을 매웠던 터치 전시 프리뷰 나이트 중 퍼커션을 하나의 터치로 해석한 제임스 라터의 퍼포먼스. 1막 쏠로, 2막은 한국의 모담엔터가 기획한 윤이상 곡 피아노 및 해금 연주, 거문고 산조 및 한국무용에 덧데어 연주 한 #에스닉콜라주 , 3막은 "터치" 전시에 답곡을 했다.
스파탄의 300 파이터처럼 코로나 동안 힘들었던, 서로를 못 봤던, 공연과 전시장 조차 갈 수 없었던 시간을 훌훌 털어냈던 값진 시간이었다.

The recipient of awards and scholarships such as the English Speaking Union Scholarship, James Peterscak Scholarship and a New York Philharmonic Grant, James studied at The Royal Academy of Music in London and the Manhattan School of Music in New York. He was also a fellow at the Music Academy of the West in Santa Barbara, California. His recent compositions for Percussion and Electronics are published on Bachovich Publications in the U.S.
