Dili, the capital of East Timor with about 200,000 inhabitants lies on the northern coast of Timor island, the easternmost of the Lesser Sunda Islands.
This video clip, recorded during a stay of about one week, gives an impression of daily life in Dili: housing, traffic, shopping, public buildings, public transport as well as port, boulevard and beach.
After a dark history the town is full of young people looking to the future with hope and expectation.
