This new cover was intended to be uploaded a week after Malzeno's… I guess that’s a win here.

The medley is put together as follows:
0:00 : Espinas Battle Theme (Great Forest HR100) - Monster Hunter Frontier
1:15 : Espinas Battle Theme (The Chase) - Monster Hunter Rise: Sunbreak
2:02 : Espinas Battle Theme - Monster Hunter Online
3:41 : Espinas Battle Theme - Monster Hunter Rise: Sunbreak

And what a challenge it was. Not as hard as Malzeno for sure but making this cover an almost six minutes-long piece was a thing and the more I approached the end of it, the more I was "OK let's take a break from it a bit". I wanted to take profit from the Sunbreak trend with this cover + Malzeno but this will be for another day. XD

Anyways you can't imagine how I love this theme. I knew it before MH Rise and Sunbreak were a thing and discovering that the Espinas is finally brought in the mainline series instead of dying alone in Frontier just made my day and was one of many reasons why I went for this game.

I love the main pattern of the piece, originally played by the strings section. As you can see and hear I wanted to play it on guitar as well and I think this fits really nice in the whole piece. In addition, this might be the quickest rythmic pattern I've ever played. It didn't take long until I was able to play it properly but I certainly struggle to keep up the pace as my stamina gets drained throughout the piece.
I also added voices as Rise used a lot of this stuff for many pieces. The ones in the intro and outro sing "ES-PI-NAS". :)

I also included its MH Online because, yes, he has one! The original BPM for this one is 140 but I chose to speed it up a bit to 165 BPM, which is the Frontier/Rise themes tempo. Melodies and leads were a bit tougher to learn obviously but the transitions between all the different parts are really nice and smooth. I remember when I started this that the brutal change of BPM from 165 to 140 felt really inapropriate to my ears.

Oh and I also included the chasing theme because it's still a battle theme technically, just with the monster (or us) fleeing. I did not the same for Malzeno because I wasn't aware he would have gotten one too, so I might work on an extended version of it at some point. :p
