Take a dive with me into CENOTE AZUL! Located between Tulum and Playa Del Carmen, Mexico. Mexican Caribbean. It’s just passed Puerto Aventuras and across the street from Barcelo resorts. There were some around Cancun as well but I didn’t go to those. This was my first real cenote experience we’re I got to swim in the water and actually get some footage of everything around, underwater footage too!! The water is so fresh, clean and cold. There are many different species of fish including poeciliids, cichlids, caracid, pimelodid, synbranchid, guppies, and I swear I recognized some huge tetras in there! Cenote translates to: a natural pit, well, or sinkhole. It’s a result of collapsing limestone bedrock, that exposes groundwater. Take a look as I let the inner kid in my explore this beautiful attraction!
