The Intensive Outpatient program at Center for Discovery is specifically designed to provide individualized treatment for adults and adolescents who are struggling with eating disorders. Our Intensive Outpatient programs help people who need a higher level of support than an outpatient program can provide, but do not require the higher levels of structure and supervision of other levels of treatment. The Intensive Outpatient (IOP) programs at Center for Discovery operate five evenings each week and offer twenty hours of group therapies during each week. Also included in the program is a weekly session with one of our Registered Dietitians, a weekly individual therapy session and a weekly family session.

Each client beginning one of our eating disorder IOP programs is assessed by our multidisciplinary team and is provided with a comprehensive, personalized treatment plan. The program is available Monday through Friday and allows clients to attend as many as five days per week or as few as two days per week, when appropriate. We firmly believe that each person deserves an appropriate level of care, so each client enrolling in our IOP programs must be assessed by a physician and psychiatrist to ensure IOP is the right program for them.
