Follow the steps below to turn on or off HR monitor on the Garmin Instinct 2:
1. Hold the menu button to open the menu
2. Once the menu opens, scroll down and select Settings
3. Once Settings open, scroll and select Sensors & Accessories
4. In the Sensors & Accessories settings, select Wrist Heart Rate
5. To turn on and off the heart rate monitoring on your Garmin Instinct 2, toggle the Wrist HR switch.
