Part 2 of Shuttleworth Air Display, 21st July 2012. Starts with their Bristol F2B Fighter D8096, a genuine 1918 aeroplane, later the SE5a joins her. The last section is of the Edwardian aeroplanes; being a perfect, windless summer evening it was possible to fly them. They have the oldest flying aeroplane in the world, a 1909 Bleriot; unfortunately it did not fly on this occassion. But we do have the second oldest, a 1910 Deperdussin, and the 1912 Blackburn monoplane. The Blackburn is the oldest British aircraft flying, and (unless someone knows different?) the oldest aircraft that flies circuits, not just hops.
The Bristol Boxkite and the Avro Triplane are 1965 replicas built for the film "Those Magnificent Men in Their Flying Machines", but still most impressive.
