1943 is sometimes called the "Forgotten Year" or the "Year of Decision", additionally it is the first year where the Wehrmacht's Leadership enters the war without a clear strategic concept. Thus, Wegner calls it "Defensive ohne Strategie" (Defense without Strategy). This video takes a look at the situation of the Wehrmacht in 1943, the situation in the Mediterranean, the Battle of the Atlantic and of course the Eastern Front with the Battle of Kursk.
