A collision between two buses operated by Tower Transit Singapore (TTS) occurred at the Bukit Batok Bus Interchange at about 5.03pm on Sunday (11 July).
One of the buses carrying several passengers was knocked over and landed on its side. The other bus was not carrying any passengers.
A CCTV footage shared on '新加坡巴士司机社区Singapore Bus Drivers community' Facebook group earlier today (12 July) shows the bus with passengers smashing through the railing at the interchange.
What's even more jaw-dropping is seeing a bus captain falling to the ground below as the bus tips over, narrowly avoiding being crushed by the falling bus.
"14 people were sent to the hospital conscious including a TTS Bus Captain of the bus which was knocked. An SBS Transit Bus Captain who was not driving was also injured and sent to the hospital," said TTS in a statement yesterday.
"We are working closely with the Singapore Police Force to assist in investigations. The Bus Captain of the bus without passengers has been suspended pending the investigations," it added.
