Irish supermodel Faye Dinsmore, became the first Irish model in history to be immortalised in Ireland's National Wax Museum, yesterday, Tuesday March 22. An inch perfect mannequin of the international model was unveiled at the museum and will remain on display for the coming weeks.
British sculptor Steve Wood spent nearly two months creating an inch perfect double of the Irish model for Rootstein Mannequins, who have donated the first completed mannequin to the National Wax Museum. For over fifty years, Rootstein have provided the world's leading department stores and fashion houses with mannequins based on the world's most recognisable supermodels, which have included Twiggy, Erin O'Connor, Agyness Deyn and Coco Rocha.
In December, in New York, Roostein launched their new line of mannequins based on Irish model, Faye Dinsmore. This is the first time in Rootstein's 50 year history that they've used an Irish model. Exact replicas of Faye's mannequin will soon appear all over the world in H&M, Zara and many of the world's leading fashion houses.
