VIDEO GUIDE DESCRIPTION
This is Ninja Gaiden Sigma 2 for the PS3. This is "Master Ninja" mode, the most feared and ruthless difficulty in Ninja Gaiden games. Master Ninja mode is unlockable after completing the game on "Path of the Mentor" (Hard), which is itself unlockable after clearing either "Path of the Acolyte" (Easy) or "Path of the Warrior" (Normal) difficulties. As I state in this walkthrough, Master Ninja is remorselessly unforgiving and challenging to a rarefied degree; this mode, then, is not for the faint of heart, and requires dedication, tenacity, skill, and above all, patience. As I also state in this walkthrough, that while I consider myself to be an above-average gamer, I am not the best Ninja Gaiden Sigma player. It is my intention to present Master Ninja mode less as a guide to preach to people who are better than I and more of a tool to assist those at or around my own skill level. In other words, if I can beat the game, I want to show people who are struggling that, while very, very hard, the game is not impossible to beat. Vanity does play a role in my guide--who wouldn't want to show off a little that they can beat this game? But I'm making this guide mainly for enjoyment and personal satisfaction than merely to obtain bragging rights. The game is so difficult, and there are so many ways to be instantly killed, or to have your health significantly lowered, that the game is almost unfair in this regard. To tip the scales back in my favor, so to speak, my strategies mainly revolve around UT (Ultimate Technique) attacks, Ninpo usage, Izuna Drop attacks, and frequent revisits to previous save statues. In some respects, the game forces you to spam UT attacks frequently. I try my best to not be "cheap" but sometimes playing this way is the safest approach to beat a game whose difficulty all too often borders on "unfair". Therefore I try my utmost to add variety wherever possible and to complement the video with an informative audio commentary.
