We couldn't possibly kick-off Murray's Music Mates without beginning... at the beginning! Well, the Wiggly beginning, anyhow (we might circle back and talk Finger Guns another time!). So here's a three course meal we hope you will really enjoy...
For starters - a whirlwind tour around Wiggles HQ, and Murray's favourite location, Hot Potato studios with The Wiggles fabulous engineer Alex Keller and an amazing drummer, as well as 'man of the moment' Steve Pace - AKA (at 120bps) "The Pacemaker". The Wiggles attracts some incredibly skilled and talented team members and Alex and Steve are definitely major spokes in the wheel!
The Soul Movers January, 2020 "Bushfire Relief" show at Castle Hill (where we raised $75,000.00 for WIRES alone) is the spicy sauce - Murray makes "double-duties' look easy - and man, can he ever do 'the monkey'!
Main course is what we know every "OG Wiggle" fan can't get enough of ; the special magic that happens in a Wiggles live show. It really is "all about joy" as Muz often says. It's a truly special kind of joy, especially that now that the "big kids" understand the incredible glue that exists between the Wiggles, their dancers, fellow characters, and sidekicks.
Paddy, AKA Captain Feathersword, and Muz are about as close as two workmates can get. They have ridden the highs and lows of the road together, played the most terrible tricks on each other, and been there when life seems to fall apart and a brotherly hug is the only way to get through the day.
For dessert, you'll enjoy the hyper-colored medley of the 'Circles Baby' BTS. The buzz around the reunion is certainly evident and it's good to hear how it all came together. With the current remix, and another lockdown exactly one year later, the workout still makes so much sense and hopefully continues to lift our spirits, souls, and bodies!
If you enjoyed this, our first Episode of Murray's Music Mates, well, we are REALLY GLAD. We aim to create around an episode a month but - with current crazy-days and lockdowns - no promises folks!
Episode Two is set to be really exciting! - If you are a DZ Deathrays, "Like People" or "You Better Believe It!" video clip fan, then please send us any questions you might like to ask! We'll also have a good look at the 1973, "Les Paul" guitar that added a special kind of cool to the DZ's new album "positive Rising" - which is KILLING it on the music charts right now - congrats chaps!
Finally, we send you all BIG HUGS and remember, don't let the world get you down - us 'pfwuffy ducks' (as Captain Feathersword would say) all have our good days and our 'not-so-goos' days, We also all know that more good days are out there on the horizon - for ALL of us - and that we are also in this crazy number, TOGETHER.
