My Kubrick Video of 40 years ago was pirated (again) in 2023. This time it was posted to TikTok, and wider, more disreputable sites. What newcomers, and people who criticize "Good Day, Mr. Kubrick", don't realize, is that the video is very old. It must be the "Citizen Kane" of YouTube viral videos. On the web it first appeared the year YouTube went live: and that's 15+ years ago. There's plenty of misinformation about what is actually a lark. People either get the Andy Kaufman comedy, and they like it, or they're stupid and they mock it. Its ubiquitous on the internet at this point. Its also audacious and that's the point. Its supposed to command your attention. When people ridicule it, I think: "The Kubrick Video is so old. Didn't you know it existed?" Anyway, the Kubrick Video went viral again, but I stopped making YouTube videos because of trolls. Today, as a result, people overlook the history of Kubrick, and that's a shame, because its a rather fascinating story. I reposted this send-up video for newcomers and people who've just heard of me. It was posted before, but nobody ever watched it. The channel had a small following. Some people liked my stuff and got my humor.
