Mario Falcone Speaks About His Attempted Suicide On THIS MORNING Apologises For Alleged Cocaine Use
Former TOWIE star Mario Falcone has issued a 260-word apology after footage emerged which allegedly showed him using a rolled up note to inhale cocaine from a kitchen surface. The Italian reality star, who was suspended from the show by ITV bosses earlier this year for his alleged drug use, says he is sorry for what happened. Speaking to the Sun, Maz said: "I would like to publicly apologise to my loyal family and friends, all of my co-stars on TOWIE, to ITV and most importantly to all of the fans." The star said he suffered with a number of personal issues and went off the rails.
"I have been seeking professional assistance and am now fit and well, I hope that the producers and ITV will see my genuine remorse and consider allowing me to return to the show." Mario was temporarily suspended from the show while bosses investigated the drug claims. Soon after the footage emerged, a source close to Mario said: "This video could be the end of Mario's television career.
"He's become an important part of the show in the last three years but the show doesn't make exceptions for anyone when it comes to drugs. He should know that. "The show is watched by millions and is in its 11th series now so producers are certainly in a position where they can drop characters who are more trouble than they're worth."
Possession of a Class A drug carries a sentence of up to seven years in prison, while supplying carries a maximum life sentence and an unlimited fine.
