tl;dr having much potential but it is not great at all comparing to other flagships. Also I will be posting some solves on WRM2020 soon.
First of all, huge thanks to MoYu for sending this cube to me.
Aohun WRM is the first magnetic megaminx from MoYu. As we all know MoYu does make numerous fast puzzles, I am really hyped to see this cube.
Out of the box the cube feels very light and small. I think it is one of the lightest and smallest megaminx on the market. There are some noticeable lockups, together with the frosted plastic design, it doesn't feel like a flagship puzzle. Also, the magnet strength is very very weak (like I could say it is non-magnetic). The performance doesn't impress me at all. The colour scheme is same as Aohun, which I think it is fine overall except the dark blue isn't that dark.
Aohun WRM has the MoYu Dual Adjustment System installed, which is a new technique in Megaminx. Personally, I don't think it is worthy for megaminx as you have to adjust 12 sides, and the center caps are hard to assemble, which is very annoying.
After hundreds of solves and testing, I loosen the cube for a whole turn, and the spring compression set to 3rd (3 clicks from the default setting). I also added extra 4x1 magnets at the corner pieces which helps the positioning a bit. With the combination of MoYu No.1,2,3 Lube, the cube feels fast and stable. However, the lockup issue still exists that I have to change to a light turning style. Some fancy fingertricks and algorithms cannot be properly executed because of the ridges and the lockup issue.
Overall, I do think Aohun WRM has a lot of potential, but right now it doesn't perform as well as other flagships on the market. I look forward to seeing how the cube performs with less lockup issues and stronger magnet strength in the final version!
