Sidi Bou Said is a small touristic area in the north of Tunisia in Tunis. The streets of Sidi Bou Said are visited by thousands of tourists. The surrounding area is very beautiful making it the perfect place to shop for souvenirs. The town is a tourist attraction and is popular for its use of blue and white.
In the 18th century wealthy citizens of Tunis built residences in Sidi Bou Said. In the 1920s, Rodolphe d’Erlanger introduced the blue-white theme to the town.
Dar Zarrouk is a popular traditional restaurant with a charming terrace which has a beautiful panoramic view over the Mediterranean Sea. In this restaurant it is possible to have a wide variety of delicious Tunisian food and enjoy the sea view.
