Providing the Harrier PHEV with power is a 2.5-liter four-cylinder engine which on its own is good for 174 hp and 219 Nm of torque. Supplementing this engine is an electric motor at the front axle with 180 hp and 270 Nm of torque in addition to a rear-mounted electric motor with 54 hp and 121 Nm of torque that makes up the E-Four all-wheel drive system . This results in a combined 302 hp .
The PHEV version is equipped with a floor-mounted 18.1 kWh lithium-ion battery pack, allowing the vehicle to travel a distance of about 93 km in pure electric mode.The average fuel consumption of the SUV is 4.88 liters per 100 km.
Harrier 2023 has three driving modes including EV, Auto EV /HV and HV. The EV driving mode will be programmed to keep the vehicle on battery power for as long as possible.
To fully recharge the battery, it will take users about 5 hours and 30 minutes when the car does not have fast charging technology. The total weight of the SUV reaches 1,950 kg - 300 - 400 kg higher than the petrol and hybrid versions.
The plug-in hybrid version of the Harrier has a few cosmetic differences. For instance, there is a distinctive front grille that comes in four different hues, including a unique metallic grey. Metal mesh, utilized for the instrument panel and door trim, together with dark red piping, makes for a striking interior.
