William Fitzsimmons’ path into music came at the influence and education of his parents, both of whom filled his childhood home with a variety of instruments, sing-a-longs, and theoretical instruction. Music was a communicative necessity between William and his parents, both of whom being blind, relied on the language of music to bridge the relational gap between themselves and a child who experienced the world entirely differently from them.
This coming of age may have set the path for William Fitzsimmons creating his unique captivating music. Fitzsimmons has created albums that are thoroughly themed and embossed with matters of family history, intimate disclosure, and bold confession. His honest and mainly autobiographic songs have resonated with audiences worldwide and have put him in the position of becoming a pop star yet remaining an intimate singer-songwriter.

William Fitzsimmons joined us in the studio to record a special intimate version of “Distant Lovers” a song from his latest album.
Throughout his European tour, William has relied on his Yamaha NCX2000R nylon string guitar, delivering a dynamic and very balanced tone with a good amount of depth to it, that singer-songwriters appreciate.
