What we're going to be doing is strengthen your muscles without moving the neck. The first one, we're going to go straight to the side. You put your hand here, and you just push straight into that hand. I'd like to do that for a three count, and then relax. We're going to do that. I'd like to do two sets of 10, we do that both sides, straight to the side.
We can also do this forward. Hand in front of the head, and then it's like you're nodding forward but you're not moving. So think about coming this way, but we're just pushing in. Same thing behind the head. You can push straight back. You'll feel all your muscles in the neck strengthening at that point.
We're also going to do a rotation. Just right in front here, and it's like you're going to be turning but we're not moving. Again, the motion is this way. We're not moving. This is a good exercise when we have weak neck muscles, if you have a neck injury you're trying to get over. We're going to do the rotation, both sides. We're going to bring it over here and go to the left. Two sets of 10, we do that several times a day.
Just recap. Straight to the side, straight forward, straight back, and then with rotation, left and right. All right, those are some neck isometrics. Thanks.
