Hi there, smart haulers. Today we're going to be taking a look at Cargo Smarts Stake Pocket Tie Down Anchors. This is an easy solution to add tie down points to your truck bed without having to do any drilling or modifications to the vehicle. The 7/8ths inch hole in our tie down will allow you to hook several different devices, such as hooks, bungee cords, or ropes. They come in a quantity of two. You can see here we're using a total of four, so we're using two kits.
You can pick up as many as you need for wherever you need to add those tie down points and the stake pockets on your truck. We're using ours today for our cargo net to keep it safely secured and keep all of our gear inside of our truck bed. Each anchor has a brake strength of 600 pounds and a safe working load limit of 200 pounds. The anchors rotate 360 degrees so you can choose which orientation is best going to work for you. It's an easy installation. The bottom anchor that holds it into your stake pocket is spring loaded and flexes, so you just simply push it down in there.
Then the ears spread apart and then you just tighten it down. There's a rubber gasket located on it to prevent any scratches or abrasions to the top of your truck bed rails. Once you've got it tightened down, you're ready to hook up your cargo net or whatever you're strapping down and hit the road. The bottom base of our anchor is a two-inch diameter and it sits up above your truck bed rails about one and three quarters of an inch. What I like about these tie downs is that they're not permanent. If you need to take them off for whatever reason, whether it be adding a tunnel cover or other accessory and you just use it from time to time, they just come in and out really easy and I liked that there's no drilling or any tools required to get it in.
You just slide it down in there, tighten it up, and you're good to go.Comparing these stake pocket tie downs to others on our website, such as the ones from Erickson. Erickson's are nice because they are a flush design that has fold down D rings, so that way it will sit flush when you're not using it and then you just flip it up when you're ready to use it. What I like about these over the Erickson, however, is that these don't require any tools whatsoever to get them installed. With the Ericksons, they're held in place by nuts and bolts. You don't have to do any drilling to get it installed, but you will require tools to get it in place.
So if it's something that you just want to have, keep in your glove box or in a toolbox in the back of your truck that you just want to be able to slap in real quick, this is the option to go with because you don't need anything else to get it going. That completes our look at Cargo Smarts Stake Pocket Tie Down Anchors.
