Hello all,

I have finally edited the footage I got back in August/September 2020, when I went to Greece with my friend, Nina! It only took me a whole year!!! Haha

It was a slightly odd holiday, being in the middle of a pandemic... But Nina and I booked it pre-covid, and unfortunately we were not going to be able to get our flight money back at all. So we waited and waited and only booked accommodation quite last minute. And it was when cases were low enough in Greece that you didn't have to quarantine when you got back. But we always kept things on the safe side, wearing masks inside any shops, carrying hand gel and anti-bac wipes everywhere, always sitting outside to eat, always staying away from crowds and crossing roads to avoid walking close by people. We just did what we could, but still it was a bit anxiety inducing and I recall having quite a bit of physiological anxiety symptoms throughout the holiday due to the stress building up to, the covid worries and some other personal things that were playing on my mind at the time.... Nina was an absolute angel, she understood my restlessness, my verbal diarrhoea, my repeating conversations on the things I was anxious about, and she was patient with my occasional reclusiveness too (I was a little reluctant to relax and swim coming across as anti-social). She helped me to relax and problem solve and laugh and reminisce and just... breathe.

We decided to split the holiday into two, spending the first half at the beach and then the second half in the mountains much further inland... but all of that will be shown in a second video as it was so much like a second holiday in comparison to days on the beach.

I definitely found myself more relaxed and less anxious when we stayed inland, so I look forward to editing together the next video and seeing if that comes across in the way I filmed things.


I'm still learning this software and it has been a little bit painful at times, as it doesn't autosave and I've had a few crashes and had to re-do it a few times, so I lost a few cool ideas on the way too... eventually I may have just rushed to get it done, hopefully that doesn't show too much near the end though!

And for those that have returned after all my absence on here, thank you for your patience and thank you for returning! Here's to hoping I can slowly get back into doing videos regularly; I plan to keep watching how to videos and learning so I can keep improving and that should keep the inspiration and motivation going,... but feel free to suggest ideas for me!!!!
