Here, Gert Christiaens and another member of the Oud Beersel team prepare to bring some "new" 225 liter barrels into the brewery on August 29, 2018. These barrels are from J. Dias of Portugal, and formerly contained Port Wood Whisky, Madeira, and Ruby Port. These barrels will be used to mature lambic and create special, small batch beers.
