United Kingdom Prime Minister Liz Truss has resigned just 44 days after she was appointed to replace Former Prime Minister Boris Johnson. Truss resigned following resignation calls by members of parliament from her Conservative party after she lost two ministers and a failed mini-budget which sparked market turmoil. Labour Party Leader Keir Starmer has called for a general election over what he terms as chaos caused by the Conservative Party. She becomes the shortest serving Prime Minister in British history.
