Behind The Sound Volume 2 on the Nissan R35 GTR covers the total re-wire of the sound system, as well as soundproofing improvements, CTEK charging solutions and some of the rectification work to get this originally silent sound system back to working condition and sounding great.
Wiring is one of the most essential components within any sound system - the better quality of the wiring and cables, the better the signals and power passed through them to the speakers and amplifiers. Originally, the cabling in this system wasnt to the highest of qualities, so we've re-wired the system with oxygen free connexions cables, and new power cables throughout. We've also removed all the bullet connectors and all joins are now soldered, as well as using XD60 plugs to ensure ease of connection for the speakers whenever work is undertaken on the doors.
We have also cleaned up the inside of the doors as much as possible due to the sticky residue that was left holding the inner door membranes, and fitted new protective membranes inside the doors.
Finally, we have added soundproofing to the inside of the doors, as well as the door card, to ensure the full door is soundproofed much like the rest of the system.
