Purchased from Guitar Center Online 4/30/2020 arrived 5/6/2020 DOA. Guitar Center Customer Service started out with "It's a "Level One" it should be perfet working condition etc..." I explained that it is in fact in excellent cosmetic condition but the module is defective. (At the time of this posting we are still under stay at home orders, due to Covid-19 and all stores in California are closed.) He offered to send me a call tag to return the whole kit for a full refund. I explained I didn't want a refund, I just wanted it to work and suggested they simply send me another (working) module. He then flips the "Level One" definition to "I can't send you a new module to replace an "open box"... I think my request is reasonable. I have attempted to reach out to both Simmons Drums Corporate as well as Guitar Center Corporate Customer Service for help. I am posting this video as a timestamp of this issue. I will remove or update this video based on my experience.
5/29 Update: Simmons has replaced the module for me, it arrived a couple days ago. Thank you Simmons! GC was really a joke and needs to explore being able to solve these types of problems without the run around.
Note: I bought an Alesis Surge module to play around with and here is what I have found. Alesis module with Simmons wire snake is a "no go". Once I got an Alesis wire snake the toms and cymbals worked but ultra sensitive and lots of crosstalk. Simmons HH and HH pedal do not jive with the Alesis module. In short, don't try using Simmons pads with Alesis modules. I will be listing the module for sale soon.
