Les Cousins was one of the most influential folk clubs of the 60s. I enjoyed memorable performances from Davy Graham, Al Stewart, Martin Carthy and John Martyn. These photographs were taken around 1970. The final photograph was taken outside Ronnie Scott's Jazz Club. Note the then-fashionable floppy hat and clunky shoes of the young woman entering the club.
The background music is three short instrumentals composed by myself and recorded around 1995 on a small Sony cassette player. Apologies for the sound quality.
If you are one of the artists pictured do let me know your memories of that famous venue.
