Today I'm going to take off the stock skid plate on this 2020 Polaris RZR PRO XP for cleaning and inspection. This is the same procedure for all the 2-seater PRO XP's, including years 2021 and 2022. The 4 seater is almost the same, but the rear has a few extra screws in it due to its added length.
This particular machine has about 150 hours on it, and the skid plate has never been removed. I figured there would be a substantial amount of mud built up in there, but it wasn't quite as bad as I was expecting.
There's also a pretty good sized crack in it from hitting something. I'm going to use a plastic welder (available at Harbor Freight) to attempt to weld it back together until I get a replacement heavy duty skid plate. Some of our trails are pretty rough with a lot of rocks, so additional damage to this stock skid plate is inevitable. Honestly, I'm surprised it held up as well as it did.
