This is a 28-year-old myopic female with debilitating CORNEA scarring from past herpetic disease in her left eye, leaving her with best corrected version of 20/80 and a candidate for a cornea transplant, and -6 1/2 myopia and her healthy right eye
We treated her nine months ago with ray tracing ( Alcon innoveyes) customized Fenton LASIK in the right eye and a topo-guided surface ablation combined with CXL( to reduce future scarring) in the left.
We of course discussed preoperatively, the strong possibility that the left Eye may necessitate a second refractive surface ablation
Nine months later she’s enjoying 20/10 !!!! Uncorrected distance vision acuity from both eyes:
proud and humbled to have contributed, although I would like to also Credit the technology available, that “made the magic happen”
