This animation features a comparison of an eyeless, cave-dwelling fish, Astyanax mexicanus, and the closely related sighted surface-dwelling fish. New funding for UC Biologist Joshua Gross' lab will will support research into the genetic aspects of craniofacial asymmetries that could address a wide spectrum of human conditions.
