Best cinematic moments of our amazing motorcycle trip to the famous north coast 500 called in short the NC500. We took this terrific motorbike tour to Scotland and the Scottish Highlands back in 2019 - luckily just before all the world's issues started. We rode our bikes on almost the whole North Coast 500 road with some minor changes for a ride on Isle of Skye and a few other important places. The NC500 is probably Britain’s Best Motorcycle Route overall but I would still recommend minor changes and adding some more great roads which are in that area. There is no point sticking to that motorcycle route set by someone else while there are so many glorious routes and tracks nearby.
The round trip from Midlands started in April 2019 on a Kawasaki W800, Harley Davidson Sportster 1200 and BMW K1100 LT motorcycles. That Scottish trip was definitely on top of my motorcycle travel bucket list. After the ride across the Applecross Pass or so-called Bealach Na Ba, we explored all the northwest of the Scottish Highlands but we skipped the last part of the North Coast 500 route and instead, we rode our bikes through A836 which was a brilliant motorcycle road. Then we went south through Cairngorms National Park, and Northern Pennines so overall the route was similar to NC767 from MCN issue 29 March. Those two places were enormously brilliant. I really recommend you ride your motorbike there. According to Motorcycle News and their bucket list of the top places to ride your bike the NC500 is one of the best and I couldn't agree more.
