Meghalaya Assembly Elections 2023 is underway. Current CM Conrad Sangma and his sister Agatha Sangma were seen in line to cast vote in South Tura. Voting in Meghalaya for 59 out of the 60 assembly seats are under way. The northeastern state has recorded a voters turnout of 15.76% till 9 am. The polling will seal the fate of 369 candidates. Polling in Sohiong assembly constituency has been adjourned due to the death of one of the candidates. The ruling National People's Party will fight to retain power, while the BJP and Trinamool Congress will attempt to unseat the incumbent government from power.
